Gary was a gentle, generous, intelligent colleague and friend.
He was knowledgeable, approachable and never patronising. He always had time for people, whether that was a quick question or a larger discussion on any number of subjects. He was patient and mindful at work and you always knew that if Gary had been involved in the task, whatever it was, it would be completed to the highest standard.
It was a privilege to have known him and he will be sorely missed.
