Gary and I shared a passion as developers, a passion for learning and testing the latest advances in our technology. Unfortunately for me I could rarely get things working first time.
Inevitably I’d end up leaning on Gary to solve the problem, knowing he wouldn’t let it go until he’d solved it. He never liked being beaten. Whenever we weren’t talking shop, we’d often start a quick conversation on a topical subject of the day or week, 45 minutes later the conversation would still be going.
